Speaker:

Welcome, friends, to the

Creative Spiritual Journey

2

:

meditation, Receiving Grace.

3

:

I'm going to begin with a question

before we settle into our meditation.

4

:

What if your weakness is actually a gift?

5

:

A gift to bring you closer to the

Savior to seek His grace, for He has

6

:

promised His grace is sufficient.

7

:

And as we humble ourselves, He will

make our weak things become strong.

8

:

So let's settle into a space where

we won't be interrupted, and we can

9

:

let go of things of this world, the

noise, and just settle into breath.

10

:

Be peaceful and calm.

11

:

God has told us, "Peace,

be still," and know Him.

12

:

Let's begin with thinking about

how simple this gift of grace is.

13

:

Sometimes we miss it.

14

:

We don't believe it.

15

:

It is so simple.

16

:

Think of how an infant doesn't

care what it is seeing.

17

:

It's simply amazed that it is seeing

18

:

What do you sense in your life?

19

:

The beauty around you, the people, your

reverence for God, and all the beautiful

20

:

and amazing creations that surround you.

21

:

Your body

22

:

heart.

23

:

So I want you to ponder and think as

you breathe in deep in through the nose

24

:

and down into the belly, resting into

your body and recognize the simpleness

25

:

of grace

26

:

How do you sense?

27

:

God in your life in those

small and simple things

28

:

The redness of a Indian paintbrush

29

:

The color of a sunset, golden clouds

30

:

The taste of a fresh picked peach

31

:

Touching hands of a baby

32

:

Reading a verse that

speaks so deep to your soul

33

:

Seeing, hearing, feeling, tasting, reading

34

:

His grace

35

:

Is His grace so close

36

:

That we don't recognize it

37

:

The eye with which I see is the

same eye with which God sees me.

38

:

My eye and God's eye are one eye.

39

:

One seeing, one knowing, one love

40

:

is His love and His grace so

close we're not recognizing it?

41

:

we're out searching, searching for the

bigger, grander things when this grace

42

:

and this love was within your arm's reach?

43

:

Is His grace so profound, so

deep that we can't conceive it?

44

:

The Lord says, "My thoughts are not

your thoughts, nor my ways your ways."

45

:

There's a great gift in allowing

ourselves to rest in the not knowing,

46

:

the not comprehending, and just trusting.

47

:

It's part of the being humble

48

:

This grace is like waves to the ocean

49

:

This grace is part of our soul

50

:

Can you float in that for a moment, this

deepness, and allow yourself to be held?

51

:

Is his grace so noble, so grand that

we believe we do not deserve it?

52

:

This love is infinite, and His

grace is a gift just for you

53

:

His child, his beloved.

54

:

So receive it with gratitude,

for our heart yearns for it.

55

:

Be humble.

56

:

Be the open vessel to receive humbly,

gratefully, this beautiful gift

57

:

For it is God's good pleasure to

give you His kingdom, His love

58

:

This is where we're going to take our

weakness and put it into some form

59

:

that you can imagine you're holding

it in your hands and bringing it

60

:

to the altar humbly to the Savior.

61

:

And offer it up to Him with gratitude for

the wisdom, the strength that you have

62

:

gained in overcoming this weakness and

receiving this beautiful gift to be able

63

:

to create a better life, with purpose

64

:

This grace is so simple and close

and deep and profound and noble.

65

:

A grace that is sufficient enough

66

:

Personalized for you

67

:

Do you sense it?

68

:

The lightness

69

:

The joy, the love, the peace, maybe

even rest that fills your soul

70

:

As you open that heart and receive grace

71

:

Choose to believe it

72

:

I will seek to recognize it

73

:

let it be okay to not comprehend it.

74

:

It is so deep, but we can

just float and soak in it

75

:

And I can believe

76

:

That I deserve it

77

:

The love, the compassion, the embrace

78

:

Just rest here for a moment

79

:

I invite you after this meditation

to take the pen to the paper

80

:

How do you feel His grace?

81

:

And how has this weakness become a gift

82

:

Namaste, my friend.

83

:

I'll see you on the trail.

84

:

Bye

85

:

deep and profound and noble.

That we stand in awe that it is for us

About the Podcast

Creative Spiritual Journey
one small, deliberate step at a time
We are all on a journey—a journey home to our heavenly parents. Any experienced traveler knows there are days you laugh and days you cry.

We aren’t here to tell you how to live—we are here to share how we live—how we survive, thrive, and even find joy!

The journey gets messy with rainstorms and sleepless flights but the hard times—the miserable times—those make the best stories.

And the vistas, the sunsets, the little birds outside the window—those are the reminders that God is in the details, he is aware of us, he has trod the path before.

The Creative Spiritual Journey Podcast is hosted by Judy and Ghia Cooley—two sisters in their wisdom years—who love the savior and are dedicated to making this journey one small, deliberate step at a time.
